At the headquarters in Anytown, USA, the previous IT department had set up a network in the main building where employees could access the application, information, and data servers, and the Internet. Upon further inspection, it was found that connections to the network were limited using a proprietary network connector. This meant that ABC Car Sales could not add more computers without usage of this network connector. ABC Car Sales had to purchase another "license" from their previous IT department to be able to connect a new PC to the network.
It was also discovered that the body shop and service shop had no means of connecting to the network, or the Internet. Finally, the status of ABC Car Sales in Big City, USA, and in Not So Big City, USA were unknown by the ABC Car Sales headquarters.
